<aside> ⭐ My teaching of Pilates is grounded in my dance practice and my experience with various other somatic modalities that I interweave and co-mingle with Pilates. I approach Pilates as an awareness practice to facilitate mindful strength and release. I like to get playful with the form.
</aside>
1) Mindfulness and awareness - I view Pilates as a mindfulness practice where we tune into sensation through touch, gravity, and breath to help us gain more awareness of our bodies.
2) Strength and release - It’s empowering to feel strong! And also there will be release work sprinkled throughout the sessions to also allow our bodies to release unnecessary tension and patterns.
3) Accountability - Let’s face it, it’s hard to sustain a regular practice alone. Signing up for a group class creates a communal sense of accountability. Plus, you get personalized feedback from me during each class.
4) Shake up your routine - This series will incorporate props and fun variations to shake things up!
5) Have fun - Connect with other humans, get silly, and sweat a little!
